Hello All,

I am joining a group of firefighters and other local residents on a trip to Haiti from Oct 1-8. While in Haiti, we will be doing a number of building projects to assist in the aftermath of the Haiti Earthquake that devastated the island  in January 2010. In order to raise funds for this cause I will be doing a board breaking event on Friday, September 16 at 7 pm at the Cochrane Ranche. I am asking for people to sponsor me $5 per board in an effort to raise $1000. We will have a campfire to follow so bring your family with you.

We hope you all had a great summer. It was great to see the many faces that made it out to our weekly drop-in classes.

A new season is upon us and we are very excited to “KICK” things off. We have 1 more registration session coming up on Wednesday August 31 from 7:30-8:30pm. If you have not already registered for classes or know of someone who wants to register, please try to attend this session. For more information, please call or email.

Our first official classes for the new season is Wednesday September 7. See you then!

Our next event is the ICTF Western Canadian Championships in Jasper, AB on May 14. Start gearing up for this now as it will be here before we know it!

Congratulations to all of those who competed at the March 19th Calgary Regional Championships in Strathmore. The event was a big success and we thank each of you for your support. We are VERY excited that Trinity TKD will be offering several fitness classes starting January 2011. These classes are circuit training style classes and are conveniently offered at the same time as our TKD classes. So parents, drop your children off at TKD and go and get a great workout while you wait! Our certified fitness instructor is keen on keeping class sizes small in order to promote a more intimate experience. If you are interested in trying out a class, please contact us immediately.

We are thrilled to announce that Trinity TKD will be expanding to Water Valley, Alberta where we will be operating a Taekwon-Do program on Tuesday evenings. The classes will be Lil Kickers (ages 4-7) from 5:30-6:15 and a Family Class (all ages and levels) from 6:30-7:30. Classes will take place at the Water Valley Community Centre beginning early 2011. Stay tuned for more details.

Thank you to those who took time out of their evening to attend our AGM. It was a great brainstorming session and it was great to have the insight of others. I am excited about the what the future holds for Trinity TKD!

Our first Annual General Meeting has been scheduled. It will take place on Wednesday November 17, 2010 at 8:30pm after class at the Seminary. This meeting is open to all Trinity TKD members. The election of officers will take place at this meeting.

Trinity TKD had four students represent our club at the recent ICTF Provincial Championships better known as “The Haunting!” in Edmonton, AB. All of our students earned medals including Christian (2 bronze medals), Lynda (bronze and silver), Devon (bronze) and Mr. Fetaz (silver). Congratulations to each of you for a job well done! Keep up the great work and thank you for your participation in this ICTF event.
