The Women’s Self Defense Workshop held on May 27 in Cochrane was a great event. Thank you to all of the participants for supporting a great cause and for coming out to learn something new. Everyone did a fantastic job, learned a lot and seemed to enjoy themselves.
Compassion in Action is an organization that raises funds to combat human trafficking in five hot spots around the world including Cambodia, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Ukraine and Calgary. It’s true… human trafficking happens even on the streets of Calgary. As a fundraiser for Compassion in Action, Trinity TKD is hosting a Women’s Self Defense Workshop (age 14+) to raise money for the cause. The workshop cost is $25, and operates from 6:30pm-8:30pm on May 27 at Bow Valley Baptist Church in Cochrane. To register and secure a spot, call 403-998-8539 or email trinitytkd@hotmail.com. Invite some friends and come join us for a few hours of basic street smart self defense.

On Saturday May 15th, Focus TKD (from Chestermere) will be hosting a pattern seminar instructed by Master Stanley (VIII Dan). I highly encourage all Trinity members to attend this event. The seminar will be held in Strathmore, AB from 9:00am-noon for color belts and from 2:00pm-5:00pm for black belts. Cost is $30. Additional $10 for black belts wishing to attend the color belt session. Register in class, by phone or by email.
